Full day • Sistine Chapel of the Americas and Temple of Wiracocha
7:00 am - Our vehicle will pick up our passengers to head south of the city of Cusco.
First stop: Sistine Chapel of the Americas in the town of Andahuaylillas. This church is famous for its impressive paintings and Cusco art dating back to the 11th century. Our guide will illustrate the motifs and details of these paintings that are depicted on the walls and ceilings of this temple.
After this visit, we board our vehicle and travel to the Raqchi archaeological park, famous for the Temple of Wiracocha. Raqchi is located at a significant altitude and houses one of the most important temples of the Inca empire.
The Temple of Wiracocha is an impressive structure with a large central wall and circular columns. We will appreciate Inca architecture and learn about the importance of this sacred place.
After the tour, we return to the city of Cusco.
