Acceptance of terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the services of Sanctours (hereinafter, "the Company"), the user (hereinafter, "the Client") agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree with any of these terms, you should not use our services or make reservations through our platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between the Client and Sanctours.
Important: Contracting any tour implies full and unreserved acceptance of all terms set forth herein.
Description of services
Sanctours offers inbound tourism services in the Cusco region, including:
- Guided tours to archaeological, natural, and cultural sites.
- Tour packages including transportation, meals, accommodation, and tickets.
- Adventure activities (zipline, ATVs, trekking, etc.).
- Transfer services and personalized assistance.
Itineraries, prices, and availability are subject to change without prior notice. Sanctours reserves the right to modify tours due to force majeure, safety reasons, or adverse weather conditions, always seeking the best alternative for the Client.
Booking process
To make a reservation, the Client must follow these steps:
- Request: Complete the booking form on our website, contact us via WhatsApp or email.
- Availability confirmation: Our team will verify availability and respond within a maximum of 24 hours.
- Deposit: A 50% deposit of the total value is required to confirm the reservation (except for special promotions). The remaining balance must be paid before the tour begins.
- Final confirmation: Once payment is received, we will send a receipt and final confirmation with all tour details.
For tours that require early ticket purchase (such as Machu Picchu or the Inca Trail), full payment may be required at least 30 days in advance due to high demand and supplier policies.

Payments and billing
We accept the following payment methods:
- Bank transfer: Accounts in soles and dollars (Interbank, BCP).
- Western Union: For payments from abroad.
- PayPal: We accept credit/debit card payments via PayPal.
- Cash: At our offices in Cusco (soles or dollars).
All prices are expressed in US dollars (USD) or Peruvian soles (PEN) as indicated. The applicable exchange rate will be the one in effect at the time of payment.
Sanctours issues electronic invoices and sales receipts. For invoicing, the Client must provide their complete tax information at the time of booking.
Note: Payments made via PayPal may be subject to additional fees for exchange rates or international transfers.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations must be communicated in writing through our official channels (email or WhatsApp). Cancellation policies vary depending on the tour type:
Cancellations by the Client:

Special cases:
- Machu Picchu and Inca Trail: No refunds apply once tickets are purchased (according to Ministry of Culture policies).
- Flights and trains: Subject to airline or railway company policies.
- Accommodation: Subject to the policies of the contracted hotel.
Cancellations by Sanctours:
If Sanctours must cancel a tour due to force majeure (weather, social issues, etc.), the following options will be offered:
- Reschedule the tour for another available date.
- Full refund of the amount paid.
Sanctours is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by the Client (flights, hotels, etc.) in the event of tour cancellation.
Traveler responsibility
The Client is responsible for:
- Providing truthful and complete information at the time of booking (names, document numbers, dates of birth, etc.).
- Having the necessary documentation for travel (valid passport, ID, visas if applicable).
- Arriving punctually at the established meeting points. Delays will not be compensated.
- Following the guide's instructions and respecting safety rules during the tours.
- Taking care of their personal belongings. Sanctours is not responsible for losses or thefts.
- Reporting pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements at the time of booking.
Warning: Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in exclusion from the tour without refund.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase travel insurance that covers:
- Medical and hospital expenses abroad.
- Emergency evacuation.
- Trip cancellation for justified reasons.
- Baggage loss.
Sanctours does not include travel insurance in its packages unless expressly stated. The Client is responsible for contracting their own insurance if desired.

Health and physical requirements
Some of our tours require good health and physical condition:
- Trekking (Inca Trail, Salkantay, etc.): Requires good physical condition and prior acclimatization to altitude.
- Rainbow Mountain (5,036 masl): Acclimatization of at least 2 days in Cusco is recommended.
- Waqrapucara: 5-hour hike with elevation changes, requires good physical shape.
The Client declares that they are responsible for their health and physical condition to participate in the contracted activities. Sanctours is not responsible for health issues arising from lack of preparation or unreported pre-existing conditions.
We recommend consulting a doctor before engaging in high-altitude activities if you have heart, respiratory, or blood pressure conditions.
Minors
In compliance with Law No. 30802 and provisions of the Ministry of Culture:
- Minors under 18 years of age must travel accompanied by their parents, guardians, or a duly accredited responsible person.
- For school trips or groups of minors, notarized authorization signed by parents or guardians is required.
- Children under 3 years of age do not pay a fee for most tours but must be permanently accompanied by an adult.
- For entry to Machu Picchu, minors must present their identification document (ID or passport).
Intellectual property
All content on our website (texts, images, logos, videos, etc.) is owned by Sanctours or licensed for use. Reproduction, distribution, or modification without express authorization is prohibited.
Tour names, brands, and logos are registered trademarks of Sanctours.
Modifications of terms
Sanctours reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Modifications will take effect immediately after posting on the website.
It is the Client's responsibility to periodically review this page to stay informed of any changes. Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any controversy arising from the interpretation or execution of these terms shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the judges and courts of the city of Cusco, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond.
In case of dispute, an amicable solution through mediation will first be sought. If no agreement is reached, proceedings will follow the Peruvian Civil and Civil Procedure Codes.
